About Me
The Vogue Hair Designs is an independently owned and operated hair salon that has been serving the community of Oak Ridge, TN since 1969. We can create the look that you want or rebuild hair that has been damaged by stress and environmental factors.
Abby Powell owns The Vogue Hair Designs and proudly employs up to a dozen hair stylists.
Senior stylist, Tammy Poore has worked at the salon since 2002. Tammy's understanding of how spiritually uplifting it is to feel good about one's appearance has made her business flourish. Prior to working at The Vogue Hair Designs, Tammy graduated from the Oak Ridge Tennessee School of Beauty in 1992. She tutored under stylist Ray Robbins for about one year before buying a salon in Clinton, then named The Ritzz Hair Designs. She owned this salon for more than 7 years, changing the name to something that fit her personality a little more. She named it Cuttin' Up Salon.
She employed several stylists, manicurits and tanning bed attendents before deciding to join her brother Ray Robbins in jointly owning a salon in Oak Ridge. It was named Jaboe Hair Designs and the brother/sister duo worked closely together for approximately 2 years. Ray and Tammy both built a great clientele but needed more freedom & less stress, both went to work for Abby Powell and then co-owner Jack Livesay at The Vogue.

Tammy is also a very spiritually aware human being who founded and created a popular website (and research group) while investigating local haunted legends and superstitions to gather material for future books and newspaper articles.
